Saturday 18th January from 1pm Heimdal Kunstforening wishes to welcome you to the opening of Hedda Hørran's solo show, «SWEETDREAMSAREMADEOFTHIS321_0 - a big big bang - a kiss - a true life love story - the biggest of them all - the greatest greatest greatest - welcome to_TRASH LAND_of milk and honey - two fists of solid rock» an exhibition where you will find yourself in a state in between dream and nightmare, trash and nature.
Everything is nature, is trash, is related to and dependent on, everything. Life is life.
Hørran's exhibition is an exploration of building materials, and an attempt to control this material and the exhibition space. It's about losing and taking control. She works within the fields of installation, sculpture and painting, and for this exhibition her main focus was to be working with a, to her, foreign material, and a new technique. At Heimdal Kunstforening, Hørran is now working extremely hard and desperate to hold this world together, and keep the building still standing, by erecting columns of concrete.
Hedda Hørran’s desire is to completely take over the space where she exhibits. She wants and needs to be in the space, see it, cooperate, and at the same time counteract with it. “Going places and doing things”. On the last day of the exhibition on Friday 7th of February, you are invited back to a finissage where Sweet Shoes will play a concert inspired by the exhibition. There’s going to be a party! There will be a bar! Maybe fireworks? Please come!
Finissage: Friday 7th February 7pm– 00am.
The exhibition is supported by Kulturrådet, Trondheim Kommune and Norske Kunstforeninger.
