When you've been around this earth for a while, this thought strikes you from time to time. It can come when you see a nice old car, a musical instrument, a real "old school" personality being interviewed on TV. And if you like the blues, this thought definitely comes more often with age. Our heroes pass away, and many of the young musicians who try to take up this legacy sound like apprentices for a long time before they can emerge as full-fledged blues musicians. But here we have a guy who surprises you as soon as you hear the sound of his guitar, his voice and the way he treats the blues tradition. Raw and direct, well not "too raw" but just enough to sound like himself. A direct approach, with a special "bite" that we associate with some of the great blues musicians. Where does he find it? Maybe in the deep forests of Värmland, a sparsely populated area in Sweden, near the Norwegian border. But most of all from his long love affair with the blues with heroes like Albert Collins, Albert and Freddie King, Luther Allison and other great representatives of modern electric blues with a twist of funk. One thing he has in common with these musicians is that he never plays a set of just "shuffles", but varies in tempo and rhythms. Not only is he a natural talent on the guitar, his expressive and direct voice and his creative songwriting also contribute to the sound; raw and mature at the same time. "They don't make them like that anymore" The band T-Bear & The Dukes of Rhythm was started by Torbjörn Solberg in his hometown of Arvika in Sweden in 2004, and they have released 6 CDs.
