The Dark Room: Parenthood

Get tickets here
The Dark Room is Rosendal Teater's interdisciplinary meeting place for projects in development.
This evening we present various artists who work with parenthood, motherhood and the harrowing and brutality of pregnancy and childbirth.

This evening you can experience a process display from the artists behind the project The Mothership, Marina Popović, Mari Lassen Kamsvaag and Kathrine Leth Nielsen. Afterwards there will be a project presentation with Kirsti Taylor Bye from the Artists' Mammakolektiv, and then a panel discussion on the theme led by performing artist Katja Brita Lindeberg.

Taylor Bye questions what it means to be a mother - can one be pregnant with a work of art, a mother of an artist?

The Mothership delves into the transformative and partly devastating experience that a birth and the time after can be for both body and soul.
