The wheels on the bus go round and round, all through the world.
The Great Journey is an expedition in mini format. Together with your fellow passengers you navigate around the world. The journey will take you past mountains and valleys, through tunnels and dark forests at night time, and you will even go to the bottom of the sea where the sea horses live. On the way you will make soup, play cards, drink, eat, count sheep, sleep, and dream. Sometimes the bus will move, but it never gets scary, only exciting.
The outside scenery flies past the bus windows and the sounds will tell you whether you are in the city, in Spain, or in ice cold Siberia. With a childhood family trip fresh in her memory, Dutch artist Judith Nab has created animations of photos and drawings of all the strange things happening on the way.
The Great Journey is an installation for small children, filled with associations and atmosphere, recognizable and imaginative. The journey takes place in an old bus with child-sized interior.
Get on board! The world is waiting!
