Sturm un drang - and much more

It is the great emotions that are highlighted in this concert. At the same time, it is a musical testimony to how different emotions can be described in music based on time, place and space. While Bizet gives his Carmen the entire musical emotional register, with all that the orchestra and singers have to offer, Haydn 100 years earlier must be said to be somewhat more emotionally persistent in what was his 'Sturm und Drang' period. At the same time, this is a trait we can nod in recognition of, when we on our journey through Europe experience the differences between the two countries to this day.

Alexander Sitkovetsky - artistic director / violin

Julia Adolphe: Kilo, Kilo for strings

Joseph Haydn: Symphony No. 52

Joseph Haydn: Violin Concerto No. 3 in A major
