Kristian Matsson, better known as The Tallest Man On Earth, is returning to Norway.
In addition to his tour, Matsson is also releasing new songs. The project "When the Bird Sees the Solid Ground" will be released one song and one video at a time, every month of this year.
The big breakthrough came for the Swedish artist with the release of "Shallow Grave" which was the follow-up album to his first, self-titled EP. The album received raving reviews around the world and Pitchfork included it in their list of "Best Albums of 2008". The same year, Matsson toured the US and Canada with Bon Iver, gaining even more fans.
In 2010 he signed with Dead Ocean and released his second studio album The Wild Hunt, again to great acclaim from the critics. In addition to releasing a second EP the same year, he played in front of packed houses around the world - from Australia to New York and South Africa to London.
With his guitar and his easily recognizable voice, the music of The Tallest Man on Earth can best be described som indie folk. He is often compared to giants like Bob Dylan, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes and Father John Misty.
