Overview

How to Break tells the story of two teenagers in search of an understanding of what it really means to be sick.

Ana, a determined street dancer and Joel, an energetic b-boy met through their passion for dance. They fight against their own bodies, the health care and the feeling of hopelessness. How do you deal with the fact that your body is breaking down and becomes an obstacle to pursue what you are good at and what matters most in life? A doctor, a singer and beatboxing nurse try to keep the spirits up with their teenage patients while they break through their diagnoses on the search for a new definition of what disease and health really is.

The performance is a collaboration between breaking pioneers Kwikstep and Rokafella, the graffiti legend Part One, beatboxers Yako 440 and Adam Matta, indie rocker Rebecca Hart, director Chris Edwards and actor and slam poet Aaron Jafferis.
