Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras and Plácido Domingo had a historic debut as the Three Tenors during the Italian Football Championship and the concert itself was held at the historic Roman Bath Caracalla's Baths in Rome which was built between 188-217.
The concert in 1990 helped put classical music on the map and the album that The Three Tenors released became the best-selling album ever when it was released.
The documentary Three Tenors: Voices for Eternity celebrates the highlights of the first concert in Rome and a follow-up concert from Los Angeles. With brand new interviews and archive material never seen before, the documentary provides an interesting insight into the friendship and rivalry between the legendary opera singers from 1990 until Pavarotti's death in 2007.
