Thulsa Doom plays "And then take you to a place where Jars are kept" in its entirety.
This year marks 25 years since Thulsa Doom made their debut album, and on that occasion they are taking a little tour of Norway, playing their most popular album "And then take you to a place where Jars are kept" in its entirety at selected venues.
Many have "Jars" among their top 5 Norwegian albums ever, including – KVELERTAK songwriter Bjarte Lund Rolland:
"If 'Seats' is Norway's 'Blues for the Red Sun', then 'Jars' is Norway's 'Songs for the Deaf'. In the same way, stoner rock is lifted out of the mud with this masterpiece, out of the blues-doom-jam hell that it gradually became more and more associated with. A little less stoner and a little more rock (or rawk as it was cool to write at the time), less riff parades and more SONGS, and a finesse that is unparalleled in Norwegian rock history. 'Jars' is solid, all the songs maintain a high level. The dynamics and variety make this an album that can be heard in its entirety from start to finish, and that is not always the case in Norwegian rock, to put it mildly. 'Jars' is my definitive favorite in the Thulsa canon. Folk high school soundtrack, audition routines, tour bus blasts, and inspiration for many a band project, Kvelertak included."
Selected bangers from Thulsa's entire catalog will also be served.
The comeback albums "Ambition Freedom" and "A Keen Eye For The Obvious" have received rave reviews worldwide and have given us new Thulsa classics like "Lady Nina", Eloquent Profanity", "Endless, Unless" and "Die Like An Aviator" to name a few.
And the new album is almost finished writing.
