TO BEethoven - or not TO BEethoven: Pastoral-Project B3K

Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn in 1770, and in 2020 the whole musical world is looking forward to celebrating his 250th birthday.

TO BEethoven – or not TO BEethoven!

From the opening ceremony in the world’s first and only sensory church – Tomaskirken at the centre for deaf people at Signo in Andebu – 29th of January to Beethoven’s birthday on the 16th of December, you may join us on a unique musical journey. In solo, chamber and orchestral concerts with the finest of Norwegian musicians – and with guests from Beethoven’s two cities Bonn and Vienna – you are invited to take part in the biggest birthday party ever arranged in Sandefjord.

The Pastoral Project

We are getting close to a “To Be – or not To Be” regarding the possibility of preserving mankind’s only home: The Earth! We only have this one planet, so it is urgent that we all take responsibility for creating a sustainable environment on it.

Throughout 2020, our cultural initiatives will focus on environmental protection, through a man that loved nature – and was a composer of the finest caliber – during the festival
