Saturday, May 10. Doors open at 8:00 PM. Concert starts at 9:00 PM. Age limit 18 years.
Tusmørke is a funky prog rock band with a low center of gravity and groove in the forefront. The band combines the serious and the ridiculous in a two-pronged attack on everyday consciousness. The goal is to re-enchant life, the method is dance, local history and birdwatching. Tusmørke has released a handful of albums since 2011, was nominated for the Spellemannprisen in 2016 and has since cultivated an increasingly idiosyncratic style. Many believe that the current lineup is the prettiest ever. Others believe that the chatter between songs is better than what they play. In other words, there are good reasons to come to this concert, even if you are not interested in the music.
Jordsjø plays nature-romantic, dark and apocalyptic forest language. Inspired by old cabins, camping trips, Swedish folk music, German prog, Norwegian jazz and British folk, in a dreamy and warm soundscape, filled with acoustic guitars, flute, tape echo, Mellotron, analog synths and Hammond organ. The music reflects the band's longing for a simpler life close to nature, an imagined, imaginary past where mysticism plays a central role.
