VIMU City Walk: The Dark Side of Kalvskinnet
Did you know that there was a sugar refinery that was founded on the African slave trade at Kalvskinnet in Trondheim? Or that forced labor was carried out at Tukthuset down the street? And do you know where Galgebakken (the Gallows Hill) in Ila was? Trondheim's last witch burning took place there in 1674.
Join us for a city walk from Kalvskinnet to Ila where you can learn more about the dark part of Trondheim's history.
The city walk is best suited for adults, young people and older children. There is a limited number of participants on this walk. Please purchase your tickets in advance.
The meeting point is outside the museum’s main entrance. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the walk starts.
