Should we legalize cannabis to combat gang crime? With an increasing focus on gang crime and all the negative consequences it leads to, politicians are constantly launching new solutions on how to deal with the problem. One proposed solution is to legalize some illegal drugs, such as cannabis, with the aim of choking off the flow of money to gangs. Is this a realistic solution that works in practice? Wouldn't it be positive if we could cut off funding to criminal environments? Or is it that the negative consequences of legalization are so great that it's not worth it? What other solutions could work instead?
