18 and 19 September. Two theatrical poems from the hereafter
Weight is two theatrical poems from the hereafter. One is from before life begins, the other from after it ends. One is seen from the perspective of the planet, the other from space. Love and longing are what drive us into these perspectives, because we will never cease searching for something we have loved and lost.
What takes place on the stage is a mouthpiece for the voices of the hereafter. At the same time, they are also a part of the life stories of these voices, which see the earth from space or from the seed’s perspective.
The theatrical poems are here in the form of monologues, and are presented by the actors Terje Strømdahl and ten year-old Oline Flæte Modalsli. The production borders on a concert format, with musical accompaniment in an electro-acoustic soundscape created by Nils Martin Larsen and Bendik Kjeldsberg, who also perform live on stage.
This new piece has been written by Demian Vitanza and is directed by Simon Boberg, who has had several successful productions in Denmark.
The performance is part of the 2018 International Ibsen Festival.
