Charlie Rackstead & The Sticklesbergen Ramblers are coming to Kafé Skuret on 28 August!
Since Charlie Rackstead first appeared on the radio program Lønsj on NRK P1 with his American country version of the DumDum Boys classic "Splitter Pine", things have been going well for the gang from Sticklesbergen in Minnesota.
The recipe is simple – and brilliant: well-known and beloved Norwegian pop and rock classics translated into American country style.
With steady compo, expert string playing, cowboy hats and a solid twinkle in the eye, the band explores Norwegian musical heritage from artists such as Wenche Myhre, Vazelina Bilopphøggers, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Unit Five, Mods, Åge Aleksandersen, DumDum Boys, Lillebjørn Nielsen, Ola Bremnes, Vamp and Hellbillies.
Here you will find country, bluegrass, boogie, blues and rock – all wrapped up in a concert experience that both pays tribute and lovingly ravages the songs you thought you knew.
Standing room only
20 years of age limit
Doors open at 8:00 PM
Concert starts at 21:00
A companion against companion proof free.
