Welcome to FellesSØM – Trondheim’s free sewing space for everyone!

SIRKLÆR hosts FellesSØM on Fridays in even-numbered weeks at Bøker & Bylab Elgeseter. The event is free, but booking a sewing station is required.

At SIRKLÆR, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to repair clothes and use a sewing machine, regardless of experience or access to equipment at home. That’s why we’ve opened our self-service sewing space, FellesSØM, with three electric sewing machines available for free use.

Book easily through our website (www.sirklaer.no/fellessom) and borrow a sewing machine free of charge for one or two hours. Basic equipment is included, so you can get started right away—whether you want to learn to sew, repair clothes, or start a creative project.

What’s included in your booking?

A mechanical or electric sewing machine
Universal needle
Sewing thread in multiple colors
Measuring tape, pins, and extra bobbins
Scissors, ironing board, iron, rulers, and tailor’s chalk
Books, sewing magazines, and patterns you can browse on-site for inspiration or to help you learn different techniques

Please bring:

Your own fabrics or clothes you want to repair or alter
Any patterns or personal tools needed for specific projects
