Jan Ivar Ekroll writes sweet, self-deprecating, funny and sad songs about growing up. He has played the piano since childhood, but injured his hands and put music on the shelf for several years. The solution was to pick up his father's acoustic guitar and start writing music that depicts small and big moments in his stumbling journey through his twenties, with a sound that resembles a cross between Nick Drake and Joao Gilberto.
He is accompanied by Eiliv Ribe on violin and Joel Hynsjö on percussion.
