Lassa Lyd & Omsorg is a new band from Stavanger, consisting of Henrik Ueland, Endre Jordal and Martin Rinde. They write original songs in the local dialect and recently released their debut album, produced by Arne Hovda.
Omsorgen first came together to write songs on Fister, in a small white-painted house during the winter months. They needed to put life into perspective and find a little peace and quiet. Before long, there were more songs – and more trips to the cabin.
Musically, the band has a distinctive and original sound, somewhere between The Band and Håkan Hellström, with nods to both Leonard Cohen and Odd Nordstoga.
Joy, sorrow, eternal (and lost) love, and humorous stories form the foundation of Omsorgen's music and lyrics.
Lassa Lyd og Omsorg also proudly carries on Stavanger's strong tradition of folk-inspired songwriting and rock. The band members have many years of experience as musicians in Stavanger's music scene, including with Poor Edward and The Franklins.
Sometimes life is simple. Sometimes there is little else to do but gather around the instruments and wait out the darkness. With Lassa Lyd og Omsorg, we wanted to contribute to the soundtrack of our own lives – and perhaps, in time, become part of someone else's too.
Everyone who would like to join us for a pleasant evening of great music is very welcome!
