Møster / Nilssen duo at Moskus

When Kjetil Møster and Gard Nilssen meet on stage, there is no safety net, no pre-made setlists and no compromises. Through collaboration in Gard Nilssen's Supersonic Orchestra and Acoustic Unity, with Møster's Sense, Organ, Motion and in the bands of Lars Vaular and Ole Morten Vågan, they have explored a wide spectrum of music together. When they meet as a duo they bring all of their musical baggage to the table in search of pure sonic takeover - free jazz ranging from rock attitude to microdynamic finesse.

Møster treats the saxophone as an overloaded electric instrument, where he combines raw improvisation and intense energy. Nilssen is the tireless, rhythmic locomotive that drives it all forward with explosive force and exquisite dynamic control. Dirty and virtuosic, intense yet structured real-time improvisation.

These are two fearless musicians who go straight for the essential – the raw friction that arises when everything is at stake and the chemistry is right
