Stavanger Symphony Orchestra: Sibelius, Saariaho & Schubert

Tonight’s concert presents Nordic soundscapes and symphonic grandeur.

Sibelius’ The Swan of Tuonela opens the concert with dark, mythical tones and one of the most beautiful cor anglais solos in the orchestral repertoire. In Saariaho’s HUSH, modern and poetic sounds meet trumpet and orchestra.

The concert concludes with Schubert’s monumental Ninth Symphony, a work filled with energy and magnificent musical landscapes.
