Tromsø Mountain Challenge

Tromsø Mountain Challenge is a trail running event in Tromsø, with several distances through mountains, plateaus and Arctic landscapes.

The event takes place in late summer, when temperatures are usually cooler and the landscape begins to take on its autumn colours. The routes cover varied terrain and offer views across the mountains and the Tromsø region.

Choose between several races, from the more family-friendly Dalheim Rundt to La Sportiva HalvUltraløpet, La Sportiva Ultraløpet and Ekstremløpet. The 50 km ultra race starts at Snarbyeidet, while the 25 km half ultra starts at TUIL Arena. Several of the races pass through Tromsdalen and finish at TUIL Arena.

The races vary in both distance and difficulty, with options for those looking for a shorter trail run as well as experienced runners ready to take on longer and more demanding routes.

Trail running in the mountains can be demanding, and the weather can change quickly. Make sure you bring the right equipment and keep safety in mind throughout the race.
