Women have always composed music, but for centuries they have faced resistance when it comes to having their works performed in public. For far too long, both performers and audiences have been deprived of the joy of playing and hearing music written by women. This silence has robbed us of half the genius, half the history – and not least half the joy of our musical heritage!

To pay tribute to female composers throughout history, musicians from the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Trondheim Vokalensemble invite you to a chamber music concert dedicated exclusively to music written by women. We welcome you to sit with us on the main stage in Olavshallen for a unique, up close and personal live listening experience!
