Åkrafjorden Glamping
Åkrafjorden Glamping is situated at Fjæra, innermost in the beautiful Åkrafjord. The two domes are spectacularly situated on a mountain ledge fifty metres above the fjord, surrounded by high mountains and offering majestic views of the Åkrafjord. The domes are accessed via an old path that leads up to the plateau. The trail is quite steep and challenging but is manageable for most people who are in good shape.
Once you’ve parked in your own private parking space, you will be met by your own private guide who will lead you to your dome and help carry your luggage. The hike up takes about 5–10 minutes. The outdoor area is secluded, with plenty of places to sit and admire the magical view.
What amenities do the domes have?
The domes include everything you need for an overnight stay. There are made-up beds, towels, a fridge, electricity, chargers, a coffee machine, kettle, DAB radio with speaker, coffee, tea and chocolate, etc. There is also an outdoor shower for guests at the domes (cold water only). Each dome has its own WC.
How many domes are there and how many people can each dome accommodate?
Åkrafjorden Glamping has a total of two domes. Each dome contains one large double bed, but there is space for one extra bed. Each dome can accommodate up to three guests.
How much does it cost to stay a night at Åkrafjorden Glamping?
During the high season and at weekends, the price is NOK 3,900 per dome per night, plus NOK 1,100 if you would like an extra bed.
What’s included the price?
The price includes accommodation, cleaning after your stay, made-up bed, towels, coffee, tea, chocolate, kettle, coffee machine, mobile phone chargers, etc. Breakfast and a local tapas dinner can also be ordered, but are not included in the price. What should I pack?
Bringing a rucksack is recommended when visiting Åkrafjorden Glamping. It's also a good idea to pack good shoes and clothing as it can get quite chilly. You may want to pack slippers/wool socks.
Is it child friendly?
The area where the domes are located is quite steep, so bringing children under the age of 12 is not recommended.
Are pets allowed at Åkrafjorden Glamping?
No pets are allowed in the domes.
Universal design
Owing to its location, Åkrafjorden Glamping is not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
Is it possible to also book Heit Sauna?
Heit Åkrafjorden Sauna is situated just eighty metres from the domes and is always available for glamping guests, and at a special price. The sauna can be booked here.
