Øvre Forsland Power Plant
Just a few minutes by car from FV17 30 kilometers north of Sandnessjøen, you can visit one of Norway's most beautiful power plants. From the parking area, the road is 3 km up the beautiful Forslands valley and ends at the Upper Forsland Power Station.
Convenient roads, rest areas and Øvre Forsland power plants make Forslandsdalen an excellent starting point for excursions and hiking trips.
Access: Depart from FV17 about 30 km north of Sandnessjøen - onto FV78. After about 1/2 km, turn left gravel road before the dam. Parking after 2-300 meters. Difficulty: Simple. Organized road, information boards. No map required. Distance: 6 km to rpm Time: 1-2 hours.
The trip is suitable for those on a trip along Kystriksveien (Fv17), who want a simple but scenic walk. Several organized breaks along the road and not least on the power plant itself
