Overview

The stone bridge Åmfoss bru is one of Norways longest stone bridges and takes you over the Nidelv river in Åmli.

A beautiful and monumental bridge spanning the Nidelva river. The bridge is in daily use and is said to be one of the stone bridges in Norway with the longest span (41 meters). The whole bridge is 135 meters across and 4 metres wide.

The bridge was built between 1913 and 1918, and the current railing was made later, in 1924, when they could afford it. A temporary railing was made in wood.
