Bergen Photowalk

Bergen Photowalk is designed for tourists, hobby photographers, and anyone curious about taking better pictures.

All types of cameras are welcome - whether you're using a DSLR, compact camera, or just your smartphone. Experienced guides tailor the tips and guidance to your equipment and skill level.

You’ll learn how to use light and composition to create more expressive and atmospheric photos, while discovering Bergen from new angles. The route goes through the heart of the city, including the historic Bryggen and select viewpoints with panoramic views of the fjord and rooftops.

The terrain is mostly flat with a few mild slopes, making it suitable for most fitness levels. Even if someone in your group isn’t into photography, they’re more than welcome to join - the walk is also a cultural and visual experience.

Bergen Photowalk is led by professional photographers from Apex Bergen - a local photo company based at Georgernes Verft. All tours are in English and guided by passionate, experienced professionals.

Please dress according to the weather - comfortable shoes and a waterproof jacket if needed. Bergen’s changing light and occasional rain often make for stunning photo conditions! The tour runs in all weather.

Interested in a private tour? A customized photowalks can be arranged for groups of up to 12 people, with flexible meeting points and tailored routes.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours – at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for both photography and sightseeing.

All bookings are binding. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time to receive a refund. If fewer than 3 participants are registered, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the tour. In such cases, all payments will be fully refunded. Rain is common in Bergen, and the tour will run as planned unless weather conditions are considered unsafe.
