Welcome to Bjellandstrand Gård, a unique gem on Tromøy with a history dating back to 1650. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes that invite relaxation, inspiration, and sensory experiences, the farm is just 100 meters from the sea, with parts of the property located within Raet National Park. Here, you’ll find a rare combination of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and charming experiences for visitors of all ages.

The Garden Experience – A Blooming Escape

Our charming visitor garden is an oasis for flower lovers. Wander among roses, ornamental shrubs, perennials, and summer flowers, arranged in themed garden spaces that each offer a unique atmosphere. Take your time, enjoy the surroundings, and let the garden spark your imagination.

Admission: NOK 90 per person (children under 16 enter free). Season passes available at a reduced rate.

• Opening hours: Wednesday–Friday, 12:00–18:00, from June 24 through July and until Friday, August 7

• Your ticket includes a plant list and a garden map

Groups, gardening clubs, and associations can book private tours and catering outside regular opening hours.

Café – A Taste of the Farm

Our cozy café serves homemade cakes and light lunch dishes, enjoyed indoors or outdoors with views of the garden and the sea. The café is open to everyone, while access to the garden requires an entrance ticket. Season passes are also available for guests who wish to visit multiple times.

Afternoon Tea – In Truly Unique Surroundings

Every Wednesday during the summer season, we offer afternoon tea in our beautiful garden. Tables are set with a light and summery touch, creating a truly special experience with everything a classic afternoon tea should include: freshly baked scones, sandwiches, and the farm’s delightful sweet treats.

You’ll find charming, carefully selected products both inside the café and in our outdoor serving areas. We offer a curated selection for home and garden: summer textiles, beautiful vases and dishes, lanterns, fine oils, and spices—perfect as gifts or to add a little joy to your own outdoor space.

Event Venues – Memorable Moments

Our charming venues are ideal for weddings, anniversaries, celebrations, and events. On the second floor, we can accommodate 80–85 guests with round tables, and we tailor everything from buffets to three-course menus. The farm offers a unique setting with sea views and a historic atmosphere for all types of occasions. The farmhouse living room, with its rustic charm, can host up to 40 guests.

Our party tent in the orchard is also a perfect setting for summer celebrations and events, featuring its own stage and ample space for gatherings of all kinds.

• Just 10 minutes from Arendal town center. Follow signs from Tromøy Bridge towards Kongshavn, then continue towards Tromøy Church and Bjellandstrand Farm
