Vega, with its gentle mountains contours, lies off the southern coast of Helgeland, in one of the most beautiful parts of Norway. Beyond it lie the 6500 islands, islets and skerries of the Vega archipelago, the largest in Norway. Not all of these can be visited. This summer you have the opportunity to visit Lånan the largest down station in the World Heritage site.
During the summer season, there are regularly scheduled boat trips out to Lånan. On Lånan you will be greeted by the bird wardens who take you along on a historical walking tour in the realm of the Elder Duck.
The boat departs from Gardsøya on Vega at 13:30.
Total duration: approx. 4 hours
The total duration of the trip is about 4 hours. There will be local guides on board, and we go ashore on Lånan. The bird tenders welcome us, convey their story and serve locally produced food.
All capacities are not presented here, so if there is not possible to book - take contact with the touristinformation at Vega: 75 03 53 88.
