Experience the blue ice of the Nigardsbreen Glacier in a small group of max. 6 pers. before all the other tourists visit the glacier. We take the first boat across the Nigardsbreen Lake and experience a unique and quiet nature. As you know, early birds peck first…
In such a small group, you get in good contact with the tour guide. He gladly answers questions about the glacier or the local history of Jostedalen and the Jostedalsbreen glacier. Before the tour begins, you will be instructed thoroughly by the leader about the use of crampons, rope, ice axe, etc.
What is included: Glacier equipment and the transportation with the boat.
What to Bring: Backpack, warm, wind- and waterproof clothing, gloves, sunglasses and hiking boots. The clothing must cover the whole body (no shorts or skirts without leggings).
Gloves you can borrow from us, if needed, but we do not have smal sizes.
Duration: Ca. 5,5 hours, on ice ca. 2,5 hours.
Date: Until the 21.08. After this date, choose the quite similar Long Blue Ice hike.
