Moose safari with a 95% success rate. Departure from Adventure Norway.
The Norwegian moose is a magnificent creature, Norway’s largest forest animal, and is often called the “king of the forest.” Encountering a moose is a powerful experience, and if you are lucky enough to see one run, you will be impressed by the elegance of its movement. Moose mostly live alone or in small groups, typically consisting of a mother with this year’s and last year’s calves.
Adventure Norway has been running this activity for several years and has developed a strong sense of where local moose are likely to be found in their natural habitat. This allows these majestic wild animals to be observed from a safe distance. While sightings cannot be guaranteed, in recent years the success rate has been as high as 95%.
The safari starts at 10:00 PM and lasts approximately 2 hours. The meeting point is Adventure Norway, where you will receive information about the moose, its habits, and habitat. You will then be driven together in a minibus in search of moose. The tour is suitable for children aged 6 and up. The season runs from July to September.
