Experience Stetind

On this tour, we avoid the crowds by leaving the established trails and venturing into areas few visit. We will admire the unique profile of Stetind and the fjords at Kjøpsvik from places that are accessible without the need for climbing equipment.

During the tour we will pick, cook and eat local berries, mushrooms and seasonal plants. Your guide will enrich your experience by sharing stories about the local Sami culture and telling adventures that climbers have had on Stetind over the past 150 years. We will also observe the progress of different climbing sections on different routes up Stetind.

Transport between Narvik and Stetind (about 1.5 hours each way) and snacks are included in the price.

Essentials:

Although this hike largely takes us away from established trails, it is shorter and less challenging than the hike to Hall's forepeak, where the established main hiking trail ends and the climb to the top of Stetind continues. However, it is recommended that participants have some previous experience with mountain hikes on rough trails.

You must bring the following equipment:

• Clothing suitable for being in the mountains in the summer (this should include rainproof outerwear).

• Mountain boots or sneakers.

• A backpack (minimum 15-20 liters) with space for clothes.

• Sunglasses and sunscreen.

• Food and drink.
