Lovely island in the Tvedestrand fjord, with large recreational areas, benches and toilets. Only available by boat.

Take highway E-18 about 25 kms east of Arendal, drive 2 kms on road no. 411 tol Tvedestrand town centre. There is a boat from Tvedestrand to concerts at Furøya.

Boaters can get to Furøya themselves, and moor at some of the beaches or the moorings.

Furøya is located south-southwest of Sagesund and Grønland in the Tvedestrand fjord. The event Kystkulturuka (coastal culture week) has created an outdoors stage in the middle of the wonderful garden, next to the old buildings.

During the summer season there is an open restaurant on the island.
