Tjørhom
An easy walk in fantastic moorlands!
Starting point:Kvinen Tourist Centre
Description: From Kvinen Turiststasjon the path runs west up to the top of a small hill. From the top you will see big power lines running from north to south, go in the direction of these. After about 10 minutes you will reach a waymarked path intersection where you head for Haugen. The path continues along the south side of a cabin before it ascends a hill (where you turn north-west and walk parallel with Langetjødn tarn. On the north side of Langetjødn you will come to another cabin, and from here the path leads up a small ravine and on to the west. You take the fast forward over Låghei as they say here. Gradually, the terrain becomes more hilly, until you reach a plateau with a magnificent view! Continue on easy but rather wet and bushy terrain down to the Hønedalen. From here, you can book a taxi to take you to Haugen Hytteutleie og camping (cabin rental and campsite), or follow the road 3.8 km north-west to Haugen.
