The cabin is an ideal base for those seeking peaceful days by the sea, boating, fishing or nature experiences along the coast. Here you stay close to nature, far from traffic and noise, with the sea right on your doorstep.

How do I get to Høvringøy Kysthytte?
It is only possible to reach the cabin by sea. You must have your own boat or other means of transport to get here, or alternatively send an enquiry to Haugesund Taxibåt. How many people can stay at Høvringøy Kysthytte?
The cabin can accommodate a total of 8 people. It has three bedrooms, each with a bunk bed (two beds). One room has a lower bunk that is 1.20 metres wide. There is a sofa bed in the living room that can be pulled out into a double bed.
Is the cabin suitable for families with children?
Høvringøy is an exciting island for children to explore, with a beach for both swimming and crab fishing on the shore, as well as a large lawn perfect for play and fun.
Where do I book accommodation at Høvringøy Kysthytte?

Can I book the whole cabin privately?
We recommend booking the number of beds you require. Please note that when booking in advance, there are also 3 tent pitches available, and those staying in tents have direct access to the kitchen and toilet facilities in the cabin.
Do I need to be a DNT member to rent the cabin?
No, it is not necessary to be a DNT member, but members receive discounted rates.
Facilities at Høvringøy Kysthytte
The kitchen is equipped with a hob, fridge and kitchen utensils for cooking and dining. Outdoor gas barbecue. There is running water, but it is not drinking water! The cabin is equipped with cleaning products for washing up before departure, toilet paper, soap and firewood. The wood-burning stove is the only source of heating.
The beds have duvets and pillows. Please bring your own bed linen/sleeping bag liner. Sleeping bags are not permitted.
