Skien
Skating is a fun outdoor activity for the whole family. The skating rink at Skien leisure park opens at the beginning of November and close end of February.
The ice rink in Skien Leisure Park will remain closed for the 2025/26 winter season.
Skate rental
If you don't have your own skates, there is a rental service in the café where you can rent skates in all sizes, including training skates for the very young. You can also rent a penguin aid, which is very helpful for unsteady feet. And if you want to enter the café, you don't need to take off your skates—the cafeteria is adapted for skate use.
Café
The café is located right next to the skating rink and sells both cold and hot drinks, as well as various food and snacks. The cafeteria and restrooms are skate-friendly.
Grilling
You can also bring your own food and drinks to enjoy in the two lavvus (traditional tents) set up around the skating rink. Firewood is provided, and you can have a cozy time around the fire.
Skating birthday party, celebration, or cozy evening
If you'd like to have a birthday party, celebration, or just a cozy evening, we have a package for you!
Upon arrival, you will be given a basket with grilling tongs, sausages, condiments, chocolate cake, marshmallows, and hot cocoa. A lavvu is reserved for you for 1.5 hours, where you can grill and relax. You can skate as long as you like, both before and after your time in the lavvu. You’ll enjoy both a fun experience and a cozy time in the lavvu.
The celebration includes entry to the skating rink, skates, and helmets.
