Jotunheimen Fjellstue is idyllically situated at the foot of the mountain Loftet, along Sognefellsvegen (Fv.55) in Lom. A perfect base for hiking, summit hikes, fishing, cycling, glacier walks, and ski trips in Jotunheimen.
Jotunheimen Fjellstue is located along the National Tourist Route Sognefjellet, FV 55, at the entrance to Jotunheimen National Park—with views of majestic mountain scenery. From here you have easy access to several of Jotunheimen’s many 2,000-meter peaks on day trips.
The privately owned mountain lodge was built in 1947, but has been through many rounds of restoration and renewal. Today it is a modern mountain lodge with a strong focus on great dining experiences. Every evening, a 3-course gourmet dinner is served, made from local ingredients.
Here you can find peace—whether you sit in the sun and enjoy the fantastic view toward Hestbrepiggane in Breheimen, or relax indoors by the fireplace while the wind tears at the walls. The lodge is a great starting point, both for those seeking quiet days in the mountains and for those wanting more extreme challenges. You also stay in the middle of an outdoor paradise for autumn hunting, fishing, glacier walks, and hiking throughout the summer—and ski summit trips in winter. In the area there are also many great cycling routes to choose from.
Jotunheimen Fjellstue has its own restaurant, café, lounge with fireplace, bar, internet, and rooms with shower/WC.
