Rent a kayak and paddle on Mosevatnet lake overlooking the Folgefonna glacier, available from June to August. Fantastic nature and landscape. All equipment included.
This is a peaceful kayak trip on Mosevatnet lake, with views of the mighty Folgefonna mountain. You'll have plenty of time to take in the clear glacier water and the beautiful landscape around you. Before you set out on the water, you'll be given a brief safety briefing. Then just get into your kayak and enjoy the trip at your own pace.
Who is this tour suitable for?
This tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced kayakers. NK Turas has both single and double kayaks, so you can choose what suits you best.
If I want to have an experienced guide with me on the trip, is that possible?
If you don't want to paddle on your own, one of NK Tura's experienced paddlers can join you on the trip to the glacier and back (for an additional fee). Please specify this when booking.

What is included in the price?
All necessary equipment is included: dry suit, paddling shoes, gloves and life jacket. You can wear your own clothes underneath the dry suit (we have suits and paddling shoes in different sizes), but it is recommended to bring an extra set of clothes so that you can change after the trip if necessary. In addition, you should bring a cap/sun hat, sunglasses, water and some snacks. Food and drinks are not included.

Meeting point and delivery of equipment is at Mosevatnet parking, 5498 Matre.
How long does a tour last?
The duration of the tour is approximately 3-4 hours. The kayak tour is approximately 3 km long in one direction, making the total distance 6 km.
When of the year is this tour available?
This tour is available in the period June-August. See available dates in the calendar on nkturas.no. Rain is not a problem here. You get to wear a dry suit, and the glacier colours are actually even more amazing in the rain!
Is there an age limit on this tour?
The age limit on the tour is from 16 years old with an adult.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel your trip up until 12:00 noon the day before. If you have paid in advance, you will receive a full refund if you cancel within the deadline. If the organiser has to cancel the trip at short notice due to weather or wind conditions, you will of course receive a full refund if the activity has been paid for.
