Marsåhyrna is a hill in Stryn. From the summit of Marsåhyrna (1,340 metres above sea level), there are fantastic views over Oppstryn and the Stryn Valley.
The hike begins with a drive along the forest road from Veslebygda. Please note that a vehicle with some ground clearance is recommended, as the road can be uneven.
From the parking area, the route continues on a trail up through Furedalen valley. Furesetra is passed along the way before the hike continues to the first Botnevatnet lake, where several cabins are located in beautiful surroundings.
From here, the final section to the summit of Marsåhyrna (1,340 m.a.s.l.) follows an unmarked route. At the top, the reward for your effort is a magnificent and impressive view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
A well-deserved break can be enjoyed at the summit before returning the same way.
Estimated duration: 6–8 hours
What to bring
