Discover Gullbergtuva in Lund – 463 metres above sea level with stunning views and fascinating geology on a 2.5-hour hike.

Gullbergtuva offers a moderately challenging hike in Lund that lasts around two and a half hours. At 463 metres above sea level, an impressive cairn crowns the summit, offering spectacular views. The area features granite (charnockite) with nine minerals, including a significant amount of quartz, formed near the top of the seven-kilometre-thick Bjerkreim-Sokndal intrusion.

Looking north and northwest, you can spot rounded, bare rocky outcrops formed from quartz-rich rocks. Near Røyseland farm, large boulders left by glaciers after the Ice Age remain, some of which were used to construct a large ski jump.
