Explore Narvik's vehicle and transport history right in the city centre. The museum shows historical car use and transport in everyday life, with buses, taxis, ferries and a detailed miniature model of the Ofot Railway.

Narvik Vehicle History Museum takes you into the history of transport, everyday life and mechanical culture in the Narvik region. Here you will see exhibitions about, among other things, everyday motoring, camper driving, road culture, buses, taxis and ferries.

A central part of the museum is the miniature model of the Ofot Railway, built up by the Småtogklubben in Narvik. The model shows parts of one of Norway's most famous railway lines, with stations, bridges, race superstructures and buildings from the area. On the model, locomotives and wagons that have been important in traffic on the Ofot Line are running.

The museum wants to create a vibrant and engaging exhibition where parts of the content can change from year to year.

The visit is suitable for those who want to get to know Narvik's transport history better, from road environments and vehicles to the railway history that still characterizes the city.

How to get there

The museum is located in Parkhallen in the center of Narvik. The entrance is at the back of The 4th Corner, from Kommuneveien.
