Activities by the fjord and in the area
Neset Camping has several sandy beaches and a small peninsula with a barbecue hut. In several of the bays you’ll find water trampolines and water temperatures of 18–23 °C, making us a popular swimming spot for both tourists and locals. We rent out rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats – perfect for day trips or multi-day canoe adventures. The area is ideal for swimming, paddling, or simply relaxing by the water, and is excellent for families. Children can enjoy trampolines, a jumping pillow, shallow-water beaches, and a playground. Neset Camping is also a great place to introduce kids to fishing for trout and bleke in safe surroundings. Fishing permits are available both for Byglandsfjorden and for several nearby lakes known for large trout.
Two hiking trails start directly from the campsite, with many more marked trails in the area. The highlight is the hike up to Tjuvhola. For the adventurous, there’s climbing, rafting, and other outdoor activities nearby. Just 40 minutes away you can visit a elk park, and cyclists will enjoy National Cycle Route 3 that runs along the fjord.
