    View in Map

At the outer edge of Smøla island, facing the open sea, lies beautiful Veiholmen, where you can stay in this tall, charming guesthouse.

Norstrandhuset

Norstrandhuset, one of the largest houses on Veiholmen and once home to two large families, has undergone a complete renovation. The house has the same style found in the other guesthouses run by Olsens Pensjonat & Gjestehus on Været – a light and airy mix of old and new.

The other guesthouses include Olsenhuset, Røbekkhuset and Holtenhuset, all named after the original owners of the houses, following the tradition from before street addresses were introduced.

A well-equipped mini-hotel

The house has six double rooms and one single room in total, a functional kitchen and a shared dining area.

Three of the double rooms have their own bathroom and private entrance. The other four rooms share two bathrooms in traditional guesthouse style, and these rooms form part of an apartment where the house's kitchen and dining area are located.

The property has its own quay, where the morning sun arrives early, along with several outdoor seating areas with benches and tables sheltered from the wind and weather. There's room to park several cars on the property itself.

Dogs are allowed in two of the three rooms that have their own bathroom.

Restaurant OlsenNaustet is just a stone's throw away, where you can enjoy regional specialities in a beautiful building dating back to the 18th century. The terrace here is a popular meeting point with sunset views, sheltered from the north-easterly wind.
