Explore the world of art at the Northern Norwegian Art Museum. This exciting addition to the city’s art and cultural scene offers exhibitions from a unique collection and borrowed works of both historical and contemporary art.
The Northern Norwegian Art Museum presents changing exhibitions throughout the year, with a special focus on art from Northern Norway and Sápmi.
The museum is a meeting place for everyone! You can take part in engaging artist talks, lectures, family activities, and other events announced on our website.
At the café, you’ll find a selection of hot and cold drinks, as well as waffles and baked goods.
The museum shop also offers a range of arts and crafts, design products, art books, postcards, art posters, and other unique items—perfect for bringing home a memory or finding a special gift.
Accessibility to the museum
Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum has a wheelchair ramp at the main entrance in Storgata 40, and a lift to the floors.
Admission to the exhibition is free for accompanying persons with an accompanying person's pass. We have a manned reception and the signs are designed to be easy to read for everyone.
Visitors with guide dogs are of course also welcome.
