Explore, play and learn at Norway's national museum for science and technology.

At Kjelsås in Oslo, only a 12-minute train ride from the central station, you'll find Norway's largest museum for technology, industry, natural science and medicine.

The museum offers exciting experiences and playful learning for the whole family, with over 100 interactive installations and more than 25 exhibitions on themes like technology, science, airplanes, cars and trains.

Oslo Science Centre is part of the museum. Here, you can experiment with the mysteries of physics and explore astounding natural phenomena. The Maker Space, where you can participate in activities like 3D-printing and programming, is open on weekends and holidays.

The National Museum of Medicine, which conveys medical history from the 1850 until today, is located here as well.

MUSEUM STORE AND CAFÉ
The museum's wonderful museum store is worth a visit in and of itself. It is filled with alternative toys, games, construction sets, books, fun tools and gadgets, models of clever inventions and other educational stuff.

Visit Åpent Bakeri at the museum for an uforgettable taste experience. Enjoy wonderful baked goods in historical surroundings – everything from piping hot buns and freshly baked break to a steaming, aromatic cup of coffee. Enjoy a flavourful break between the interesting exhibitions!

PRACTICAL INFO
The Museum of Science and Technology has a large parking space with free parking. It is located right by Frysja/Brekkedammen, a family-friendly recreation area at the northern end of the Akerselva river, popularly used for swimming in the summer.
