Tjørhom
Nykhedlaren is the home of the norwegian folklore beast 'Nøkken' that lives in Sirdasvatnet.
Nykhedlaren is a rock shelter on the west bank of Sirdalsvatnet, which is only accessible by boat. In earlier years it was used as a shelter for sleeping while travelling on the lake.
The folklore beast 'Nøkken' was said to take its victims here after drowning them in the lake.
