Oppdal Bike Arena is a free meeting place for young and old, operated by the Oppdal Cycling Club. Here you'll find flow trails for all skill levels – from easy (green) to challenging (red). The arena is located in the Kåsen recreation area, just 1 km north of the town centre. Parking at Skytterhuset.
Oppdal Sykkelarena has quickly become a regular meeting place for young people in Oppdal and an important recruitment tool for Oppdal Sykkelklubb. The bike arena was completed in 2022 and is owned and operated by Oppdal Sykkelklubb. Here you'll find flow trails with fun and challenging jumps and rocks. The facility is open to everyone and completely free.
Oppdal is renowned for its unique opportunities for mountain biking on natural trails through forests and across alpine terrain. However, Oppdal Sykkelarena is located in the central area of Kåsen, offering trails tailored for the youngest riders and playful adults alike. Oppdal Sykkelklubb has invested heavily to create a cycling offering that benefits the entire community of Oppdal and its visitors. The trails are graded green (Leile), blue (Kjøle luggum), and red (Flirfull). So, put on your helmet and pedal away – it's going to be fun!
Kåsen is an outdoor area with a golf course, roller skiing track, and illuminated cross-country ski trails in winter. It's also the starting point for several kilometers of marked hiking trails through forests and above the tree line.
Here's how to get to Oppdal Sykkelarena: From downtown, drive approximately 1 km north on E6 until you reach the exit for Kåsen Friluftspark. Take the first left turn and park at the Shooting House.
