Raised by the slaves at Fredriksten fortress in the 1630s, used as the farm's muck cellar, and turned into today's Guild Hall - the history of the banquet facilities at Oestgaard in Halden is something quite unique

The contrast between the rustic walls and the nicely decorated tables adds a wonderful atmosphere to the festivities.

If you are a company of 20 or 120 people, you will experience the premises as nice and warm. The Gulid Hall is a popular place to celebrate the big events of life, and at the same time it is excellent as an extraordinary end to conferences and events.

Weddings, parties, memorial gatherings and conferences in unique surroundings. With a farm history

that stretches back several hundred years, small and large, formal and informal gatherings have been

held at Østgaard for generations. From district council meetings to community school, weddings,

anniversaries and large and small dinner parties. With its unique facilities in recent times, Østgaard is

today a magnificent and stately wedding and conference venue.

Courses & conferences:

Welcome to conference rooms where you can work undisturbed throughout the day, as well as take

good breaks in a green, unique environment outside. Østgaard Event adapts with different types of

conference setups and the conference packages focus on serving traditional dishes and short-distance

food according to the season. Their chefs do everything to ensure that guests have an exquisite dining

experience here on the farm.

Østgaard Event also offers a great park facility with the opportunity for relaxation or activity. In addition,

activities are offered that are intended to strengthen cohesion and well-being. For example, beach

volleyball, tennis, fun carpentry tasks, racing in the pond, frisbee golf in the forest, synchronized

swimming in the pool, nature trail etc.

Låvetoppen

A bright and charming room in a rural setting with top technical standard, fast wifi, good equipment for

both sound and light. Room for up to 150 people.

Kurommet:

A somewhat smaller room, but with the same standard as Låvetoppen.Room for up to 70 people.

If you want meeting rooms for smaller groups, from 4 – 20 people, we have suitable premises for

that. Free parking for all our guests.

Weddings & Parties

Are you dreaming of a wedding in proper manor style, or a more informal wedding? At Østgaard you get

all the help you need to arrange exactly the wedding you want!

In the premises Låvetoppen and Gildehallen there are unique and different atmospheres and charm, but

both venues are grateful to decorate for a party, with the opportunity to put their own stamp on the

event. Imagine having access to the venue on Friday to decorate, Saturday you can have an outdoor

ceremony by the pond followed by a welcome and mingle in the garden. Take the opportunity to take

beautiful wedding photos in the garden and park while guests enjoy themselves in the mingling area.

Then you pull into the venue where you can enjoy a well-composed wedding menu based on carefully

selected ingredients, celebrate love, dance and enjoy yourself into the small hours of the night. End your

dream day by sleeping in in their large and beautiful wedding suite.

Everyone wants an unforgettable wedding day and with Østgaard's long experience, in unique

Fru Østgaards spiskammer – Gårdsbutikken

Fru Østgaard is an excellent venue for smaller meetings, course activities, parties, gatherings and joint

activities such as pizza baking, etc. In the farm shop and Fru Østgaard's pantry you will find a wonderful

atmosphere. Among other things, Pizza & Quiz evenings are arranged here with steaming fresh pizza

straight from the wood-fired oven. Here you can celebrate birthdays, arrange baby showers, or bring

your association for dining and pleasant get-togethers. On selected dates, Afternoon Tea is arranged,

among other things. Remember to be quick to book if you want a place at this popular event.

In the Farm Shop you will also find a selection of jewelry, interiors, clothes and other gift items.

Please note that Fru Østgaard is only open on selected dates and there is a table reservation at

Afternoon Tea. They are open for groups, min 15 people, on other days on request.
