A 15 km trail through beautiful Stange Vestbygd

Exciting cultural heritage in a stunning landscape

Ottestadstien connects vibrant urban areas with lush, green farmland. Enjoy the beautiful landscape in Stange Vestbygd, or “Tuscany of the North” as it was described by a newspaper journalist. The trail is only a short drive from Hamar town centre, and is an opportunity to explore exciting cultural monuments, industrial heritage, and wildlife.

The route follows old country lanes, fields and farm roads of varying standard, and the stretch across Atlungstad is suitable for prams and wheelchairs. Along its northern section, it follows foot and cycle paths.

The entire trail is 15 km long. Parking is available at several locations.
