In the heart of Grünerløkka is Parkteatret, originally built as a Norway's first cinema in 1907. Today it is a popular bar and one of the city's most important concert venues.
Parkteatret Bar
The bar in the old cinema foyer is a great place to meet before a concert or to have a drink with friends. The menu features classic cocktails, tempered wines and a large selection of craft beers. In the daytime the bar serves coffee, cold drinks and organic breads and pastries from Handwerk.

The concert stage is compact, giving everyone in the audience a chance to get close to the perfomers. the The acoustics are excellent. Parkteatret Scene hosts concerts, documentary film screenings, premieres and club nights.
