Experience the natural gem of Bragdøya. Bragdøya Kystlag provides boat transport to Bragdøya all year round.

The scheduled ferry Bragdøyabåten operates between Lumber Brygge in Vågsbygd and Bragdøya on weekdays throughout the year. The vessel is certified for up to 24 passengers.

During the shoulder season, from mid May to early September, M/B Høllen operates scheduled services on Saturdays and Sundays. New from 2026: the service will also operate on Saturdays. The vessel is certified for up to 60 passengers.

Additional boat services

The passenger ferry MS Bragdøya, commonly known as Badebåten, operates routes between the islands in the Kristiansand archipelago for a few weeks during the summer season. It has two daily departures from Pier 6 in Kristiansand and also carries passengers travelling to Bragdøya.

On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, M/B Høllen operates three hour cruises in the Kristiansand archipelago from 12:00 to 15:00. Join an experience rich route departing from Pier 6 in Kristiansand, where coastal culture, history, and idyllic archipelago scenery come together.

Along the way, you will hear the story of Bredalsholmen Dock and the Vessel Preservation Centre, home port of the historic ship Hestmanden. The tour also offers views of Oksøy Lighthouse from the sea and a passage through the picturesque Skibusundet, with a short stop at Geitodden on Flekkerøy. You may return by boat or disembark at Flekkerøy and take the bus back to the city. Consider a visit to the café at Geitodden, located right by the pier. Alternatively, you can start your journey from Flekkerøy and travel by sea into Kristiansand.
